Important game to mention about took place in Nantes. Second ranked Entente Orleans 45 (10-4) saved a 1-point victory on the road edging 7th ranked Nantes (7-7) 100-99 on Tuesday evening. Guest team only slightly avoided a big embarassment. Entente Orleans 45 made 19-of-25 charity shots (76.0 percent) during the game. Nantes was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. Bosnian forward Miralem Halilovic (205-91, agency: PEPI SPORT) notched 18 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists to lead the effort and American point guard Brandon Jefferson (175-91, college: MSU Denver, agency: Inception Sports) supported him with 22 points and 5 assists. Even 34 points (!!!) by American guard Jermaine Marshall (193-90, college: Arizona St.) did not help to save the game for Nantes. American-British center Laurence Ekperigin (200-88, college: LeMoyne) added 12 points and 7 assists for the hosts. Four Entente Orleans 45 and five Nantes players scored in double figures. Nantes' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Entente Orleans 45 maintains second position with 10-4 record having just two points less than leader Roanne, which they share with Vichy Clermont. Nantes at the other side keeps the seventh place with seven games lost. They share the position with 3 other teams. Entente Orleans 45 will play against SPO Rouen (#8) at home in the next round where they are favorite. Nantes will play against ADA Blois and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
