There was no surprise when 6th ranked Shiga L-Stars (6-26) were defeated at home by second ranked Diamond Dolphins (18-14) 74-68 on Wednesday. Diamond Dolphins made 17-of-22 free shots (77.3 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was American Craig Brackins (208-87, college: Iowa St.) who had a double-double by scoring 15 points and 13 rebounds. The other American import Markeith Cummings (198-88, college: Kennesaw St.) chipped in 14 points and 8 rebounds. Diamond Dolphins' coach Shingo Kajiyama allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American-Israeli center DOr Fischer (211-81, college: W.Virginia) produced a double-double by scoring 30 points and 12 rebounds and American forward Marqus Blakely (201-88, college: Vermont) added 17 points, 12 rebounds and 6 assists respectively for the hosts. Diamond Dolphins maintains second position with 18-14 record having nine points less than leader Ryukyu GK, which they share with Toyama Grouses. Shiga L-Stars lost thirteenth consecutive game. They keep the sixth place with 26 games lost.
