Rather expected game in Tokyo where 6th ranked Hokkaido L. (8-24) was defeated by fourth ranked Hitachi Sunrockers (14-18) 85-80 on Wednesday. Hitachi Sunrockers dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Hokkaido L.'s 38. The best player for the winners was American Ryan Kelly (211-91, college: Duke) who scored 23 points and 8 rebounds. International point guard Leo Vendrame (183-93) chipped in 26 points and 4 assists. Hitachi Sunrockers' coach Geoffrey Katsuhisa allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. British-American center Byron Mullens (213-89, college: Ohio St.) produced 20 points and 9 rebounds and Spanish center David Doblas (206-81) added 13 points and 11 rebounds respectively for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Hitachi Sunrockers maintains fourth position with 14-18 record, which they share with Osaka Evessa.
