The most exciting game of round 11 in the WABA took place in Montana. This derby game ended with only three-point defeat on the road of 3rd placed Slovenian Celje (5-4) to fifth ranked Bulgarian Montana 2003 (6-3) 70-67 in the game for the third place. Celje was trailing by 8 points at halftime but managed to get 11-point lead after three quarters before a 26-12 charge of Montana 2003, which allowed them to win the game. 27 personal fouls committed by Celje helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Forward Hristina Ivanova (183-89) orchestrated the victory by scoring 27 points and 6 rebounds. American center Taylor Manuel (190-93, college: Mississippi) contributed with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 15 rebounds for the winners. Guard Zala Friskovec (179-99) answered with 20 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and American forward Rangie Bessard (185-96, college: Wichita St.) added 21 points in the effort for Celje. Defending Bulgarian champion moved-up to third place. Defending Slovenian champion Celje dropped to the fourth position with four games lost. They share it with Buducnost. Montana 2003 are looking forward to face Banovici (#7) on the road in the next round. Celje will play against Tresnjevka and is hoping to win this game.
