Rather predictable result when fifth ranked Scrivia (11-5) beat at home 7th ranked Bolzano BK (8-8) 72-63 on Saturday. Scrivia looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Swingman Irene Pieropan (175-91) fired a double-double by scoring 12 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Point guard Claudia Colli (176-96) chipped in 18 points and 5 assists. Four Scrivia players scored in double figures. Scrivia's coach Fabio Pozzi used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Lithuanian center Julita Bungaite (187-87, college: Hawaii, agency: Promotex) produced 21 points and 9 rebounds (made all of her seven free throws) and naturalized Senegalese guard Safy Fall (176-89) added 23 points respectively for lost side. Scrivia maintains fifth position in A2 with 11-5 record. Loser Bolzano BK keeps the seventh place with eight games lost. Scrivia will face Bolzano AV (#15) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Bolzano BK will play against the league's leader Alpo VF (#1) and hope to win that game.
