Not a big story in a game when 11th ranked Cornella (5-9) was defeated on the road by first ranked Tarragona (12-2) 71-66 on Saturday. However just five-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Point guard David Fernandez (179-91) stepped up and scored 16 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners and center Ferran Torres (201-88) chipped in 16 points and 10 rebounds. Guard Xavi Guirao (190-87) responded with 29 points and 5 rebounds and center Alexandre Sanmartin (201-84) scored 7 points and 17 rebounds. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Tarragona have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. Newly promoted Tarragona maintains first place in Group C-A with 12-2 record. Loser Cornella keeps the eleventh position with nine games lost.
