Regular Season Round 17: Estudiantes L. - Innova Chef 86-81

There was a change at the EBA leadership position after last games. Round 17 most important game was a defeat of league's leader Innova Chef (9-4). They were defeated by eighth ranked Estudiantes L. (7-6) 86-81 on Saturday night. It ended at the same time the 12-game winning streak of Innova Chef. Lithuanian point guard Titas Janusevicius (188-1) stepped up and scored 26 points for the winners and Senegalese forward Mor Niang (201-99) chipped in 16 points and 13 rebounds. Four Estudiantes L. players scored in double figures. American swingman Vincent Dillard (196-92, college: Charleston) responded with 16 points and 6 assists and Senegalese center Alioune Senghor (200-96) scored 14 points and 8 rebounds. Estudiantes L. moved-up to sixth place in Group A-B, which they share with Gijon Basket and PBB. Innova Chef at the other side dropped to the second position with four games lost. They share it with 4 other teams. They were replaced at the leadership position by Algeciras. Innova Chef will play next round against Gijon Basket trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Estudiantes L. will try to continue on its current victory against tenth ranked Naron on the road.
