Everything went according to plan when third ranked Jairis (7-5) outscored at home 6th ranked UPCT Basket (5-7) 93-66 on Saturday. Jairis dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to UPCT Basket's 38. Jairis forced 19 UPCT Basket turnovers. Forward Jorge Lledo (203-80) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 12 rebounds for the winners and Italian-Argentinian Juan-Ignacio Jasen (200-85) chipped in 22 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Coach Xavier Sanchez's team controlled all game and the coach could let to play 10 players and allowed the starting five to rest. Point guard David Alvarez (184-94) responded with 14 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists and center Gonzalo Garcia (206-96) scored 11 points and 7 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Newly promoted Jairis maintains third place in Group E-B with 7-5 record having nine points less than leader Algeciras.
