Regular Season Round 33: Aomori Watts - Tokyo HT 70-98

There was a minor upset when their close opponent Aomori Watts (7-26) were crushed at home by sixth ranked Tokyo HT (5-28) 98-70 on Saturday. Tokyo HT dominated down low during the game scoring 76 of its points in the paint compared to Aomori Watts' 38. They outrebounded Aomori Watts 45-30 including 31 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was American forward Cleanthony Early (203-91, college: Wichita St.) who had a double-double by scoring 26 points and 11 rebounds. His fellow American import power forward Alex Jones (206-87, college: Seattle) chipped in a double-double by scoring 21 points and 16 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Cullen Russo (206-94, college: Fresno St.) who recorded a double-double by scoring 29 points, 13 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 blocks and Lithuanian power forward Julius Jucikas (205-89, agency: Octagon Europe) added 16 points respectively. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Newly promoted Tokyo HT maintains sixth place with 5-28 record which they share with defeated Aomori Watts. Aomori Watts lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the sixth position with 26 games lost.
