Everything went according to plan when seventh ranked Alcobendas (8-6) edged 13th ranked UCAM Jairis (2-12) in Alcantarilla 61-58 on Saturday. American center Erika Livermore (185-93, college: Fair Dickinson) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds. Lucia Togores (176-96, agency: ProDep Management) contributed with 12 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. American guard Keira Robinson (176-95, college: VCU) replied with 24 points and 9 rebounds and forward Julia Melina (179-90) added 11 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for UCAM Jairis. Alcobendas moved-up to sixth place in Group B. UCAM Jairis lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the thirteenth position with 12 games lost. Alcobendas will face league's leader Campus Promete in Logrono in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. UCAM Jairis will play on the road against Genero (#10) in Las Palmas and hope to win that game.
