An interesting game was also a 16-point surprising road defeat of 5th ranked Almansa in a game in Mahon versus Menorca (#8) 75-59. Menorca outrebounded Almansa 53-31 including a 44-24 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists comparing to just 5 passes made by Almansa's players. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Menorca made 11 blocks. American guard Richaud Pack (191-92, college: Maryland) notched 14 points and 9 rebounds to lead the effort and power forward Andreu Matali (204-81) supported him with 6 points and 14 rebounds. Even 17 points by British forward Rowell Graham (197-94) did not help to save the game for Almansa. American center Thomas Granado (208-88, college: Concordia Irvine, agency: Interperformances) added 11 points and 7 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players saving starting five for next games. Despite that victory Menorca went down to ninth position (Silver) due to points difference. Almansa at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the fifth place with eight games lost. Menorca will meet La Roda (#11) on the road in the next round. Almansa will play against Albacete (#8) and hope to secure a win.
