Twelfth-ranked Chalon/Saor (7-10) made lots of trouble for third ranked JSF Nanterre (11-6) on Saturday. JSF Nanterre managed to secure only three-point victory 81-78. However their fans expected much easier game. The best player for the winners was international Hugo Invernizzi (198-93, agency: BeoBasket) who scored 20 points and 5 rebounds. International Lahaou Konate (196-91) chipped in 13 points and 7 rebounds. Colombian-Spanish power forward Juan Palacios (206-85) produced 21 points and American guard Vincent Sanford (193-90, college: Dayton, agency: Inception Sports) added 12 points and 5 rebounds respectively for the guests. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. JSF Nanterre moved-up to second place, which they share with Gravelines and Pau-Lacq-Orthez. Chalon/Saor lost their seventh game in a row. They dropped to the thirteenth position with ten games lost. JSF Nanterre will face Chalons-Reims (#13) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Chalon/Saor will play against Le Portel and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
