The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Giants as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Giants defeated 3rd ranked Rockets in Nassau 92-77. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Rockets. Giants made 24-of-31 free shots (77.4 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The former international guard DShon Taylor (196-93, college: Norfolk St.) scored 32 points and 6 rebounds (made all of his seven free throws) to lead the charge for the winners and international guard Jackson Jacob (186, college: NAIT) chipped in 21 points during the contest. Four Giants players scored in double figures. At the losing side the former international center Livingston Munnings (-92) responded with 15 points and 5 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and point guard Lerecus Armbrister scored 14 points. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Giants have a solid four-game winning streak. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position. Rockets at the other side keep the third place with three games lost. They share the position with Bahamas Univ.. Rockets will play next round against strong Stingers trying to get back on the winning streak. It will be a derby game for which supporters look forward to, where their team will face at home their local rival from Nassau - Stingers. Giants will try to continue on its current victory against seventh ranked Pirates. It will be extra interesting game as Pirates is their local rival from Nassau.
