The most exciting game of round 14 in the Basketettan took place in Bankeryd. This derby game ended with only two-point defeat on the road of 5th ranked Eskilstuna (7-4) to second ranked Bankeryd (8-3) 100-98 in the game for the second place. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 32-26. But Eskilstuna won second period 34-30. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Guard Kristoffer Gronhage (188-92) chipped in 19 points and 5 rebounds. Guard Jonathan Ninkingira (194-99) produced 18 points and 4 assists and guard Hannes Widell (183-94) added 18 points and 6 rebounds respectively for the guests. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Eskilstuna's coach Holger Sandeberg rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Bankeryd have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 8-3 record having five points less than leader Team4Q which they share with defeated Eskilstuna. Eskilstuna at the other side dropped to the second place with four games lost. They share the position with Akropol. Bankeryd will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game.
