Very predictable result when third ranked Palermo (12-3) outscored on the road 13th ranked Pistoia (5-11) 64-44 on Saturday. Palermo dominated down low during the game scoring 44 of its points in the paint compared to Pistoia's 16. Dutch-Australian center Jacinta Vandenberg (196-93, college: Oregon) fired a double-double by scoring 16 points and 14 rebounds for the winners. Forward Giulia Manzotti (178-93) chipped in 16 points and 5 rebounds. Five Palermo players scored in double figures. Power forward Serena Bona (181-89, agency: SPORTlab Agency) produced 11 points and 7 rebounds and Bosnian power forward Natasa Tomasovic (185-93) added 10 points and 7 rebounds respectively for lost side.
