Very important is a home loss of third ranked Wisla Krakow (12-5) against seventh ranked AZS PCz (9-8) on Saturday night. Host Wisla Krakow was defeated by AZS PCz in a tough game in Krakow 73-78. It ended at the same time the eight-game winning streak of Wisla Krakow. AZS PCz dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Wisla Krakow's 34. Forward Nikodem Kowalski (200-95) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 12 rebounds. Ukrainian swingman Yaroslav Fomichov (196-94) contributed with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 13 rebounds for the winners. Guard Rafal Zglobicki (196-94) answered with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 15 rebounds and forward Wojciech Gorgon (194-89) added 10 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists in the effort for Wisla Krakow. Four Wisla Krakow players scored in double figures. Wisla Krakow's coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total twelve players in this game, but that didn't help. AZS PCz moved-up to sixth place in Group C, which they share with Pogon RS and Tarnowskie Gory. Wisla Krakow at the other side keeps the third position with five games lost. AZS PCz will play against Tarnowskie Gory (#7) on the road in the next round. Wisla Krakow will play against AZS UJK Kielce (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
