Very predictable result when sixth ranked Villeneuve D'Ascq (7-6) won against at home 11th ranked Nantes Reze (4-9) 72-61 on Saturday. Villeneuve D'Ascq made 16-of-20 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. American-Slovenian power forward Shante Evans (186-91, college: Hofstra) nailed 15 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side and the former international point guard Virginie Bremont (177-87) accounted for 5 points and 10 assists. Villeneuve D'Ascq's coach Frederic Dusart used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American center Briana Day (193-95, college: Syracuse, agency: LBM Management) came up with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 13 rebounds (made all of her seven free throws) and the other American import guard Shaqwedia Wallace (175-89, college: Temple, agency: LBM Management) added 14 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Nantes Reze in the defeat.
