Very expected game when 7th ranked ViVe (7-11) was smashed on the road by third ranked Espoo Team (11-6) 100-78 on Saturday. The game without a history. Espoo Team led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Espoo Team outrebounded ViVe 41-29 including 28 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. American players dominated the game. Forward Delaney Hodgins (184-96, college: E.Washington, agency: Interperformances) notched 27 points and 9 rebounds to lead the effort and forward Kamilah Jackson (181-92, college: Hawaii) supported her with 14 points, 12 rebounds and 7 assists. Five Espoo Team players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 17 points, 12 rebounds, 5 assists and 6 steals by forward Alisia Jenkins (186-94, college: S.Florida) did not help to save the game for ViVe. Swingman Amy Griffin (183-96, college: La Salle, agency: LBM Management) added 22 points and 7 rebounds. Espoo Team maintains third position with 11-6 record having four points less than leader HyPo. Loser ViVe keeps the seventh place with 11 games lost. Espoo Team will meet bottom-ranked Torpan Pojat (#10) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. ViVe will play against Forssan Alku and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
