Ninth-ranked Henan Phoenix (17-17) made lots of trouble for second ranked Bayi Kylin (31-3) in Jiyuan on Saturday. The visitors from Nanchang managed to secure only two-point victory 70-68. However their fans expected much easier game. The former international swingman Jiabao Jin (184-93) fired 18 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Center Zhenqi Pan (190-95) chipped in 12 points and 7 rebounds. Bayi Kylin's coach Shuping Zhan used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. Forward Jie Sun (187-91) produced 14 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists and Yuxi Wei added 18 points and 5 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Bayi Kylin have an impressive seven-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 31-3 record behind leader Guangdong. Henan Phoenix lost seventh consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the ninth place with 17 games lost. They share the position with Sichuan.
