Regular Season Round 12: Sonik Puntamika - Dubrovnik 92-71

The game had a very big importance for third-ranked Borik Puntamika as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Borik Puntamika smashed 5th ranked KK Dubrovnik in Zadar 92-71. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of KK Dubrovnik. The game was mostly controlled by Borik Puntamika. KK Dubrovnik was better in fourth quarter 25-24. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Borik Puntamika forced 20 KK Dubrovnik turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Dino Palcic (185-90) who helped to win the game recording 18 points, 6 assists and 4 steals and forward Eddi Jurjevic (202-93) who added 16 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. Borik Puntamika's coach Sime Kraljevic felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was power forward Ivan Vodopija (202-93) with 19 points (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) and point guard Petar Dubelj (178-97) scored 14 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. As mentioned above they took over a top position. KK Dubrovnik at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the fifth place with four games lost. KK Dubrovnik will play next round against strong Agrodalm trying to get back on the winning streak. Borik Puntamika will try to continue on its current victory against twelfth ranked Universitas at Split.
