Regular Season Round 10: Esperides - Kalyvion 73-82

The most important game in the last round took place in Glyfada between second ranked Esperides (7-3) and fourth ranked Kalyvion (6-4) on Sunday night. Esperides was defeated by Kalyvion in a tough game at home 73-82. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of Esperides. They outrebounded Esperides 45-28 including 31 on the defensive glass. Kalyvion looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. American power forward GMrice Davis (189-96, college: Fordham) fired a double-double by scoring 27 points, 24 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 steals for the winners. The other American import power forward Tori Jarosz (189-92, college: Marist, agency: Gamble Sports Management) chipped in a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds. Jarosz is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Kalyvion players scored in double figures. Point guard Zoi Kechagia (173-79) produced 20 points and 6 assists and American guard Courtney Jaco (172-95, college: USC) added 19 points respectively for lost side. Newly promoted Kalyvion maintains fourth position with 6-4 record, which they share with Panionios. Esperides at the other side keeps the second place with three games lost. They share the position with PAOK. Kalyvion is looking forward to face Athinaikos (#11) in Athens in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Esperides will play on the road against the league's leader Olympiacos (#1) in Pireus and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
