The game in Minsk was also quite interesting. Fifth ranked Rubon (9-8) played at the court of 8th ranked RCOP Tsmoki (2-14). Rubon defeated RCOP Tsmoki 86-70 on Tuesday. The game was mostly controlled by Rubon. RCOP Tsmoki managed to win fourth quarter 19-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Rubon shot 33 for 52 from the free-throw line, while RCOP Tsmoki only scored fifteen points from the stripe. Rubon forced 29 RCOP Tsmoki turnovers. The former international guard Maksim Shustov (188-86) fired a double-double by scoring 16 points, 5 rebounds, 10 assists and 4 steals for the winners (made all of his seven free throws). Egro Potupchik (191-94) chipped in 16 points and 6 rebounds. Center Aleksey Tsynkevich (203-1) produced a double-double by scoring 18 points and 12 rebounds and forward Jan Marynin (198-1) added 18 points and 8 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Rubon moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Tsmoki II. RCOP Tsmoki at the other side keeps the eighth position with 14 games lost. They share it with GOCOR-Sozh. Rubon will meet at home GOCOR-Sozh (#9) in the next round where they are favorite.
