Leader Real Betis delivered the seventeenth victory on Tuesday night. This time they beat 13th ranked Leyma Basquet (8-12) 78-70 in Coruna. They outrebounded Leyma Basquet 47-36 including 33 on the defensive glass. It was a great evening for American forward Obi Enechionyia (208-95, college: Temple) who led his team to a victory scoring 20 points and 6 rebounds. American-Liberian swingman Thomas Bropleh (196-91, college: Boise St., agency: Duran International) helped adding 16 points. Real Betis' coach Curro Segura used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. At the losing side Bosnian Mirza Bulic (207-92) responded with 20 points and 9 rebounds and center Jhonatan Araujo (208-96) produced a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds. Real Betis (17-2) have an impressive series of fourteen victories in a row. They maintain first place. Loser Leyma Basquet keeps the thirteenth position with 12 games lost. Real Betis will meet at home Carramimbre (#7) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Leyma Basquet will play against Palma (#10) in S'Arenal and hope to secure a win.
