An interesting game was also a 31-point surprising road defeat of 5th ranked WKK Wroclaw in a game in Walbrzych versus Gornik (#8) 82-51. Gornik outrebounded WKK Wroclaw 55-24 including a 43-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was an exceptional evening for the former international center Piotr Niedzwiedzki (210-93) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 13 rebounds. Swingman Hubert Kruszczynski (187-95) accounted for 20 points and 4 assists for the winning side. Four Gornik players scored in double figures. Forward Jakub Patoka (200-94) came up with 9 points and 6 rebounds and point guard Michal Jedrzejewski (184-98) added 8 points respectively for WKK Wroclaw in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Newly promoted Gornik maintains eighth place with 9-10 record, which they share with Biofarm PZN and Pogon Prudnik. WKK Wroclaw at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the fifth position with eight games lost. They share it with GKS Tychy. Gornik will meet league's leader Sokol Lancut on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. WKK Wroclaw will play against Biofarm PZN (#10) and hope to secure a win.
