Regular Season Round 18: Wisla Krakow - AZS UJK Kielce 85-75

An interesting game for Wisla Krakow (13-5) which hosted in Krakow one of their biggest challengers AZS UJK Kielce (11-7). Third ranked Wisla Krakow managed to get a 10-point victory 85-75. Wisla Krakow outrebounded AZS UJK Kielce 41-28 including a 15-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. AZS UJK Kielce was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for power forward Jakub Zaczek (204-96) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 13 rebounds. Guard Rafal Zglobicki (196-94) contributed with 14 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Five Wisla Krakow players scored in double figures. Center Maciej Szewczyk (197-94) replied with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds and guard Mateusz Druszcz (184-97) added 10 points and 6 assists in the effort for AZS UJK Kielce. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Wisla Krakow maintains third position in Group C with 13-5 record having four points less than leader AZS AWF Mick. AZS UJK Kielce lost third consecutive game. They keep the fourth place with seven games lost. Wisla Krakow will face MKS DG 2 (#14) in Dabrowa Gornicza in the next round which should be an easy win for them. AZS UJK Kielce will play at home against Tarnowskie Gory (#7) and hope to win that game.
