Bottom-ranked B.Yehuda (0-15) is still winless. But it was rather predictable considering how strong their opponent was. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their 15th consecutive match to third ranked Ashdod (10-5) 89-71 on Thursday evening. Ashdod made 23-of-29 free shots (79.3 percent) during the game. Ashdod outrebounded B.Yehuda 51-30 including a 17-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Americans were the main players on the court also this time. The best player for the winners was center Danielle Adams (185-89, college: Texas A&M) who had a double-double by scoring 36 points (!!!) and 13 rebounds. Guard Victoria Vivians (185-94, college: Mississippi St.) chipped in 23 points and 9 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was guard Loryn Goodwin (175-94, college: Oklahoma St.) who recorded 16 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists and point guard Andrea Riley (165-88, college: Oklahoma St.) added 18 points and 6 assists respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Ashdod have an impressive series of six victories in a row. Defending champion moved-up to second place, which they share with Ramat Hen. Loser B.Yehuda still closes the standings with 15 games lost. Ashdod will meet at home Hapoel Rishon Le-Zion (#8) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. B.Yehuda will play against the league's leader Ramla and hopes to get finally their first victory.
