No shocking result in a game when fifth ranked Joensuun Kataja (11-8) defeated at home 10th ranked UU-Korihait (6-17) 88-77. The game was mostly controlled by Joensuun Kataja. UU-Korihait was better in third quarter 25-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Joensuun Kataja made 19-of-23 charity shots (82.6 percent) during the game. Joensuun Kataja outrebounded UU-Korihait 41-30 including a 35-24 advantage in defensive rebounds. Joensuun Kataja players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. Joensuun Kataja's coach Juha Sten allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American guard Mario Edwards (191-88, college: Co.Carolina) answered with 14 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists and the other American import forward Bryan Coleman (198-92, college: Wayne St., MI) added 15 points in the effort for UU-Korihait. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Joensuun Kataja maintains fifth place with 11-8 record. UU-Korihait at the other side keeps the tenth position with 17 games lost.
