No shocking result in a game when fourth ranked Sluc Nancy (11-5) beat on the road 9th ranked Nantes (7-8) 79-68 on Friday. Sluc Nancy forced 20 Nantes turnovers. It was a very good performance for American forward Marcellus Sommerville (200-82, college: Bradley) who helped to win the game recording 20 points and 8 rebounds. American-Venezuelan point guard John Cox (195-81, college: USF, agency: Pensack Sports) contributed with 19 points and 5 assists for the winners. Sluc Nancy's coach Christian Monschau used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. American-Portuguese Jeremiah Wilson (205-88, college: Tarleton St.) replied with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 16 rebounds and Ivorian swingman Vafessa Fofana (198-92) added 11 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Nantes. Four Nantes players scored in double figures. Sluc Nancy have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Orleans and Vichy Clermont. Nantes at the other side dropped to the tenth position with eight games lost. Sluc Nancy will face league's leader Chorale de Roanne at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Nantes will play against C'Chartres (#18) and hope to win that game.
