Regular Season Round 16: Gries/Oberhoffen - Saint-Chamond 82-81

Important game to mention about took place in Bischwiller. Sixth ranked Gries/Oberhoffen (10-6) saved a 1-point victory at home edging 5th ranked Saint Chamond (10-6) 82-81 in the fight for the fifth place. Worth to mention a great performance of Spanish guard Javier Forcada (193-88) who helped to win the game recording 14 points and 9 assists and Lithuanian forward Darius Tarvydas (200-91) who added 13 points and 10 rebounds during the contest. Five Gries/Oberhoffen players scored in double figures. At the losing side American forward Malik Cooke (200-89, college: S.Carolina, agency: Inception Sports) responded with 26 points (perfect from downtown making all six shots !!!) and Tunisian Makram Ben-Romdhane (205-89) scored 9 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists. Gries/Oberhoffen moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Saint-Chamond. Gries/Oberhoffen will play against Poitiers (#13) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Saint Chamond will play against Paris (#11) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
