Regular Season Round 19: Marin - Azpeitia ISB 60-79

The most interesting game of round 19 was a home defeat of 6th ranked Marin (10-9) by fifth ranked Azpeitia ISB (11-8) who outscored them by 19 points 79-60 in the game for the fifth place. Azpeitia ISB shot the lights out from three sinking 12 long-distance shots on high 54.5 percentage. It was a great evening for American guard Jahvaughn Powell (183-96, college: Nicholls St.) who led his team to a victory scoring 23 points. His fellow American import guard Spencer Reaves (190-95, college: Central Mo., agency: Duran International) helped adding 20 points. Azpeitia ISB's coach Lorenzo Encinas used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side forward Gerard Sevillano (196-94, agency: Interperformances) responded with 17 points and 9 rebounds and Jamaican-American center Vashil Fernandez (208-92, college: Valparaiso) scored 10 points and 9 rebounds. Azpeitia ISB maintains fifth place in Silver with 11-8 record. Newly promoted Marin keeps the sixth position with nine games lost. Azpeitia ISB are looking forward to face Fontedoso Carrefour (#9) in Avila in the next round. Marin will play on the road against the league's second-placed Estela in Santander and is hoping to prove to their supporters that the loss was just an accident.
