There was no surprise when 11th ranked Cornella (5-10) was defeated at home by second ranked Quart (11-4) 73-61 on Saturday. Quart forced 19 Cornella turnovers. The best player for the winners was guard Jordi Bataller (193-86) who scored 17 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. Point guard Pau Vila (190-90) chipped in 20 points. At the other side the best for losing team was naturalized Andorra forward Alberto Farfan (193-91) who recorded 12 points and 9 rebounds and guard Xavi Guirao (190-87) added 10 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists respectively. Four Cornella players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Quart maintains second position in Group C-A with 11-4 record having just three points less than leader Algeciras. Loser Cornella keeps the eleventh place with ten games lost.
