Regular Season Round 15: Evropi - Kastoria 62-76

There was no surprise in Pefkohori where 11th ranked Evropi (6-9) was defeated by sixth ranked Kastoria (9-6) 76-62 on Saturday. The best player for the winners was Serbian forward Svetozar Stamenkovic (206-90) who scored 16 points and 6 rebounds. Point guard Thomas Amparas (190-94) chipped in 10 points and 5 assists. Five Kastoria players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Danis Eleftheriadis (197-89) who recorded 23 points and 8 rebounds and power forward Konstantinos Kampouridis (204-99) added 12 points respectively. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Kastoria moved-up to fifth place. Newly promoted Evropi keeps the eleventh position with nine games lost. Kastoria will face Charilaos TM (#8) in Mesolongi in the next round. Evropi will play on the road against Ermis Agias in Larissa and hope to win that game.
