Tigersharks smashed Running Rebels in San Pedro 86-58. Tigersharks forced 24 Running Rebels turnovers and outrebounded them 43-30 including 30 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Running Rebels' players. 24 personal fouls committed by Running Rebels helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Louis Pitterson who helped to win the game recording 17 points and 8 rebounds. Point guard Francis Arana (-97) contributed with 8 points, 11 assists and 5 steals for the winners. JaKeem Yates answered with 21 points and 9 rebounds and forward Roger Reneau added 13 points in the effort for Running Rebels. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Running Rebels will play next round against Defenders trying to get back on the winning streak. It will be a derby game for which supporters look forward to, where their team will travel locally in Belize City to the arena of Defenders. Tigersharks will try to continue on its current victory against Hurricanes in Belize City.
