Very important is a road loss of third ranked AEK (10-5) against fifth ranked PAOK (10-5) on Saturday night. Visiting AEK was defeated by PAOK in a tough game in Thessaloniki 79-88. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of AEK. AEK trailed by 13 points after 3 quarters before a 21-17 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 79-88 at the end of the game. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when PAOK made 8 blocks. The best player for the winners was American point guard Wiliam Hatcher (188-84, college: Miami, OH, agency: BeoBasket) who scored 27 points and 4 assists.
