Regular Season Round 28: Tokyo Big Blue - Koshigaya A. 86-94

Bottom-ranked Tokyo Big Blue is still unable to win any game. But it was rather predictable considering how strong their opponent was. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their 21th consecutive match to second ranked Koshigaya A. (17-4) 94-86 on Saturday evening. Koshigaya A. made 19-of-25 free shots (76.0 percent) during the game. Koshigaya A. outrebounded Tokyo Big Blue 49-31 including a 21-8 advantage in offensive rebounds. The winners were led by American Kyle Richardson (201-91, college: Portland St.) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 21 points and 13 rebounds and the other American import Luke Evans (203-91, college: Cal.Baptist) supported him with 12 points and 15 rebounds. Even 32 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists by American guard Andre Murray (188-87, college: Portland St.) did not help to save the game for Tokyo Big Blue. Guard Hideto Hamanishi (185-95) added 20 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists for lost side. Five Koshigaya A. and four Tokyo Big Blue players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Koshigaya A. have an impressive eight-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 17-4 record having five points less than leader Tokyo Excel. Tokyo Big Blue at the other side still closes the standings. Koshigaya A. will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Tokyo Big Blue's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face again at home their local rival from Tokyo Koshigaya A..
