Regular Season Round 18: Ordizia-Basoa - Valle de Egues 45-54

Everything went according to plan when fifth ranked Valle de Egues (10-5) won against on the road 13th ranked Ordizia-Basoa (2-12) 54-45 on Saturday. The best player for the winners was Ivorian power forward Kouassi Konan (204-91) who had a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds. Jamaican guard Christopher Clarke (196-90, college: FGCU) chipped in 12 points and 6 rebounds. Valle de Egues' coach Fernando Larraya used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Josh White (201-90, college: Lindsey Wilson) who recorded 19 points and point guard Kepa Iztueta (183-97) added 4 points and 9 rebounds respectively. Valle de Egues moved-up to fourth place in Group A-A. Ordizia-Basoa lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the thirteenth position with 12 games lost. Valle de Egues will face Santurtzi (#8) at home in the next round. Ordizia-Basoa will play against Miraflores (#7) in Burgos and hope to win that game.
