Very expected game in Rodou where 13th ranked Kolossos HH (2-12) was defeated by seventh ranked Holargos (8-7) 81-75 on Saturday. The guests trailed by 14 points after first quarter, but they rallied back getting tie in the second period and winning the second half and won the game by 6 points. Holargos dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Kolossos HH's 28. They outrebounded Kolossos HH 43-25 including a 32-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great evening for American-Nigerian power forward Danny Agbelese (206-90, college: Hampton, agency: Octagon Europe) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 18 points, 10 rebounds and 5 blocks. American guard Javontae Hawkins (196-93, college: Fordham, agency: Higher Vision Sports) helped adding 20 points and 7 rebounds. Four Holargos players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American forward JayVaughn Pinkston (201-91, college: Villanova) with 22 points and the former international center Dimitris Mavroeidis (208-85, agency: Octagon Europe) scored 16 points and 7 rebounds. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Newly promoted Holargos maintains seventh place with 8-7 record, which they share with Ifestos. Kolossos HH lost their tenth game in a row. They dropped to the bottom position with 12 games lost. Holargos will face higher ranked Peristeri GS (#6) in Athens in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Kolossos HH will play on the road against Kymis (#12) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
