Regular Season Round 15: Eskilstuna - Kalmar 103-91

Rather expected game when 6th ranked Kalmar (5-8) lost on the road to third ranked Eskilstuna (8-4) 103-91. The hosts were ahead by 2 points but lost the second period ending it with a 2-point deficit before their 33-19 run, which allowed them to win the game. The best player for the winners was forward Pontus Lennartsson (198-93) who had a double-double by scoring 32 points and 15 rebounds. Guard Hannes Widell (183-94) chipped in 19 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists. Four Eskilstuna players scored in double figures. Eskilstuna's coach Holger Sandeberg allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Mike McDevitt (203, college: Franklin Pierce) who recorded a double-double by scoring 25 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists and Slovenian Jan Tratnik (190-89) added 17 points, 11 rebounds and 12 assists (went 9 for 9 at the free throw line !!!) respectively. Eskilstuna moved-up to second place, which they share with Akropol. Newly promoted Kalmar keeps the sixth position with eight games lost. Eskilstuna will have a break next round. Kalmar will play at home against Huddinge (#7) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
