The most exciting game of round 18 in the Eredivisie took place in Groningen. This derby game ended with only two-point defeat on the road of one of their biggest challengers Den Bosch (13-4) to fourth ranked Groningen (14-5) 82-80 in the game for the third place. Five Groningen and four Den Bosch players scored in double figures. Defending champion moved-up to third place. Den Bosch at the other side dropped to the fourth position with four games lost.
