Bottom-ranked Cretan Kings managed to get a third victory, breaking the series of seven consecutive losses. This time they edged tenth-ranked Lavrio 94-93. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Lavrio won third quarter 20-19. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening, at least not yet. The game turned upside-down in the last quarter, where Lavrio used huge pressure winning it 24-15 getting a tie at the end of regular time. They lost eventually overtime period 11-12. American guard AJ English (192-92, college: Iona, agency: Slash Sports) answered with 18 points and 8 assists and Bosnian forward Milan Milosevic (203-85) added 16 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Lavrio. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Cretan Kings (3-12) moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with Kymis and Panionios. Lavrio lost their third game in a row. They keep the tenth position with 11 games lost. Cretan Kings' next round opponent will be higher ranked AEK (#4) in Athens and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
