Another exciting game was again a derby match of two local teams from Nassau: Shockers (#5) and Regulators (#6). Shockers (5-5) won against visiting Regulators (3-7) 92-79. They outrebounded Regulators 69-46 including a 44-25 advantage in defensive rebounds. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Shockers made 9 blocks. It was a great evening for William Rigby who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds. Point guard Lenny Oscar helped adding 17 points. Four Shockers players scored in double figures. Kenneth Pratt responded with 29 points and 8 rebounds and Renardo Baillou produced a double-double by scoring 14 points and 14 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Shockers maintains fifth place with 5-5 record. Loser Regulators keep the sixth position with seven games lost. They share it with Pirates. Shockers' supporters look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Nassau to the arena Giants.
