Regular Season Round 18: FC Barcelona - Unicaja 94-83

Liga Endesa top team - FC Barcelona (16-2) managed to deliver another win on Sunday. This time they beat sixth ranked Unicaja Malaga (11-7) 94-83. The hosts were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. FC Barcelona shot the lights out from three sinking 12 long-distance shots on high 52.2 percentage. American Chris Singleton (206-89, college: Florida St.) scored 13 points and 9 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Canadian-Slovenian point guard Kevin Pangos (185-93, college: Gonzaga) chipped in 16 points and 7 assists during the contest. Five FC Barcelona players scored in double figures. FC Barcelona's coach Svetislav Pesic used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was Armenian-American point guard Ryan Boatright (183-92, college: Connecticut) with 17 points and 5 assists and American point guard Brian Roberts (187-85, college: Dayton) scored 10 points. FC Barcelona have an impressive 12-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 16-2 record. Unicaja Malaga at the other side dropped to the fifth place with seven games lost. They share the position with Tenerife. FC Barcelona are looking forward to face CB Canarias (#5) in Tenerife in the next round. Unicaja Malaga will play at home against the league's second-placed Real Madrid and is hoping to prove to their fans that this time they can win.
