Ninth-ranked Nardo (8-9) used its home court advantage to challenge top-ranked San Severo (17-0). The visitors from San Severo managed to secure only two-point victory 75-73. However their fans expected much easier game. Naturalized Argentinian point guard Nicolas Stanic (180-84, agency: Players Group) scored 14 points and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and the former international power forward Massimo Rezzano (205-82, agency: SPORTlab Agency) chipped in 19 points during the contest. The best for the losing side was the former international point guard Gionata Zampolli (189-85) with 17 points and Serbian-Montenegrin center Goran Bjelic (204-83) scored 13 points and 7 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. San Severo maintains first position in B with 17-0 record. Nardo at the other side keeps the ninth place with nine games lost. San Severo will play against Giulianova (#8) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Nardo will play against Corato and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
