There was a surprise result when thirteenth ranked Calvia (3-12) beat at home higher ranked Igualada (10-5) 71-61 on Sunday. They outrebounded Igualada 39-25 including 29 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was power forward Jose-Maria Morales (204-89) who scored 19 points and 9 rebounds. Forward Ivan Matemalas (194-80) chipped in 19 points and 8 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was power forward Roger Perez (203-96) who recorded 13 points and Eduard Burges (189-90) added 8 points respectively. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Calvia moved-up to twelfth place in Group C-A, which they share with Castellbisbal. Loser Igualada keeps the third position with five games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
