No shocking result in a game when fourth ranked Kalyvion (7-4) beat 11th ranked Athinaikos (2-9) in Kalyvia 69-62. Kalyvion made 17-of-18 charity shots (94.4 percent) during the game. American players dominated the game. It was a great evening for power forward GMrice Davis (189-96, college: Fordham) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 11 rebounds. Power forward Tori Jarosz (189-92, college: Marist, agency: Gamble Sports Management) helped adding 16 points and 14 rebounds (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line). Jarosz is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Power forward Stephanie Kostowicz (188-95, college: Wisc.-Milwaukee, agency: Interperformances) responded with 28 points and 7 rebounds (on 11-of-12 shooting from the field) and guard Samantha Mackay (174-91, college: Dayton, agency: Interperformances) scored 11 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. The victory was the third consecutive win for Kalyvion. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Esperides. Athinaikos lost their ninth game in a row. They keep the eleventh position with nine games lost. Kalyvion will play against league's leader Olympiacos in Pireus in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week.
