The most surprising game was another loss of top-ranked ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne Basket (13-5) on the court of sixth ranked JDA Dijon on Sunday night. Visitors were defeated by JDA Dijon 94-77. They dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne Basket's 26 and made 21-of-23 free shots (91.3 percent) during the game. It was a good game for American power forward Gavin Ware (206-93, college: Mississippi St.) who led his team to a victory with 25 points. The other American import point guard David Holston (168-86, college: Chicago St.) contributed with 19 points and 8 assists for the winners. International Amine Noua (203-97, agency: BeoBasket) replied with 18 points and Croatian center Miro Bilan (213-89, agency: BeoBasket) added 14 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne Basket. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. JDA Dijon (11-7) moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Gravelines and Limoges. ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne Basket lost third consecutive game. They still keep top position with five games lost. JDA Dijon is looking forward to face league's second-placed Pau-Lacq-Orthez on the road in the next round and it may be the game of the week. ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne Basket will play against Levallois and is hoping to win this game.
