LEB Gold top team - Real Betis (18-2) added another victory to their record on Sunday. This time they beat ninth ranked Carramimbre (11-9) in Sevilla 88-83. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Carramimbre. Strangely Carramimbre outrebounded Real Betis 35-21 including 20 on the defensive glass. American center Matt Stainbrook (208-92, college: Xavier) orchestrated the victory by scoring 13 points and 6 rebounds. Swedish point guard Tobias Borg (184-93) contributed with 12 points and 4 assists for the winners. Center Sergio De-La-Fuente (198-89) replied with 19 points and 7 rebounds and forward Alejandro Reyes (197-93) added 14 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Carramimbre. Four Carramimbre players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Real Betis have an impressive 15-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 18-2 record. Carramimbre at the other side dropped to the eighth place with nine games lost. They share the position with Palencia and Palma. Real Betis are looking forward to face Araberri (#16) in Vitoria-Gasteiz in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Carramimbre will play at home against Palma (#8) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
