An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Turun. First ranked Lahti faced their biggest opponent Kristika Turku. Guests from Lahti (14-1) smashed host Kristika Turku (12-3) 102-61. The game without a history. Lahti led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Lahti had a 39-28 advantage in offensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Henry Pwono (201-91, college: East Central) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 24 points and 13 rebounds and the other American import forward Jarred Jones (201-93, college: Loyola, MD) who added 22 points and 12 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side power forward Mikael Aalto (205-94) responded with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 26 rebounds and point guard Vesa-Pekka Laine (183-94) scored 7 points and 4 assists. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Lahti maintains first position in Division with 14-1 record. Loser Kristika Turku dropped to the third place with three games lost. Lahti will meet at home Jyvaskyla BA (#7) in the next round where they are favorite. Kristika Turku will play against HNMKY (#8) in Helsinki and hope to secure a win.
