The game in Lublin was also worth to mention about. 6th ranked AZS Gorzow Wielkopolski (8-5) played at the court of eighth ranked AZS UMCS (6-8). AZS UMCS managed to secure a 7-point victory 88-81. AZS UMCS made 31-of-36 charity shots (86.1 percent) during the game. It was a great shooting night for AZS UMCS especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.9 percentage. AZS Gorzow Wielkopolski was plagued by 30 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for American guard Brianna Kiesel (170-93, college: Pittsburgh) who led her team to a victory scoring 32 points and 6 rebounds (went 14 for 14 at the free throw line !!!). Sheniqua Greene helped adding 17 points and 13 rebounds. Four AZS UMCS players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American guard Ariel Atkins (180-96, college: Texas) with 24 points and the other American import point guard Sharnee Zoll-Norman (170-86, college: Virginia) scored 7 points, 7 rebounds and 12 assists. AZS Gorzow Wielkopolski's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. AZS UMCS maintains eighth place with 6-8 record. AZS Gorzow Wielkopolski at the other side keeps the sixth position with five games lost. They share it with Wisla Krakow. AZS UMCS will play against higher ranked Wisla Krakow (#6) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. AZS Gorzow Wielkopolski will play against the league's second-placed Arka Gdynia where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
