Very expected game when 12th ranked Bnei Hasharon (4-12) was defeated on the road by seventh ranked Beer Sheva (8-8) 87-74 on Monday. Beer Sheva shot the lights out from three sinking 15 long-distance shots on high 53.6 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. American Taylor Braun (201-91, college: N.Dakota St.) fired a double-double by scoring 16 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. The other American import guard Silas Melson (193-96, college: Gonzaga) chipped in 20 points. Melson is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. American forward Jeff Adrien (201-86, college: Connecticut) produced a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds and the former international Karam Mashour (198-91, college: Morehead St.) added 15 points respectively for lost side. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Beer Sheva moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Rishon. Bnei Hasharon lost seventh consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with 12 games lost. Beer Sheva will meet Rishon (#5) in the next round. Bnei Hasharon will play against Hapoel Tel-Aviv (#11) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
